Gemma Correll

 I am smiling as I write this blog post because I am finally getting around to featuring one of my favorite artists, Gemma Correll. If Gemma's comics look familiar to you, it's probably because you've seen her work featured in clothing stores and online retailers around the world! I am particulary fond of Gemma's work because it combines my two favorite things- fat animals and dry wit! ;)
I have contemplated stocking her wonderful products at sassyNpunk Boutique for while, but I want to familiarize my readers and customers with her style a little more... hint hint to Gemma! ;) Check back at our store soon!

Balding Penguin Gets Custom Wetsuit

This little featherless Humboldt penguin was given a special wetsuit so it can fit in with its friends. Looks like someone’s jealous…

A featherless Humboldt penguinin a wetsuit walks past king penguins in the enclosure at the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore on April 4. The 10-year-old penguin has been experiencing continued feather loss since 2010 and is being treated with customised wetsuits. The suit acts like a natural feather covering, providing warmth and insulation which also helps new feathers grow and prevents moulting.

I loove seeing something super adorable on the internet that really makes me take notice. It's one of those guilty pleasures of mine. I could surf the internet all day long looking at cute kitten pictures or shopping for cute fabrics. Well here is some cuteness that has recently made it into my bookmarks tab, and I hope you'll enjoy them as much as do!

First off, you guys know i am obsessed with all things kawaii! and it just doesn't get more kawaii than THIS! Check out ILoveEgg.com for some major laughs and awwws. This site is sooo fun! Who would have thought those little guys in your fridge led such exciting lives! Here are some wallpapers you just have to check out! Got mine set as my desktop right now!

This shop is located in Houston, TX (so is sassyNpunk) and is truely one of a kind. I could just blow up all of these pics and hang them in my studio for inspiration. I don't know what i love more about these cats, the hats on their heads or the expressions on their faces!
