Gemma Correll

 I am smiling as I write this blog post because I am finally getting around to featuring one of my favorite artists, Gemma Correll. If Gemma's comics look familiar to you, it's probably because you've seen her work featured in clothing stores and online retailers around the world! I am particulary fond of Gemma's work because it combines my two favorite things- fat animals and dry wit! ;)
I have contemplated stocking her wonderful products at sassyNpunk Boutique for while, but I want to familiarize my readers and customers with her style a little more... hint hint to Gemma! ;) Check back at our store soon!
In the mean time, add Gemma on Tumblr and Twitter. I've spoken to her a few times and she is very nice and loves interacting with her fans =)

Bad Ass Darth Vader Tattoo

I really really love this girl's Darth Vader tattoo! It's cute, sassy, and punky ;)

I looked and looked, and most of the Star Wars tattoos people have suck ass. This one really is one of the best I have seen. I like the way it looks like a drawing instead of a movie still.

Along with the good, we also have the bad. For example, this God awful Sailor Moon tattoo has got to be one of the shittiest tattoos I have ever seen. Yuck! This girl's tattoo artist needs to get hit by a bus.

Tumblr Tuesday with ChiBird

I'm starting a segment on the sassyNpunk blog called "Tumblr Tuesday" where I will feature my favorite finds from Tumblr.com

Today is our very first Tumblr Tuesady, and I couldn't be more excited about today's feature!

Recently I stumbled upon some really cute cartoons online. Upon further investigation, I found the cutest little blog on Tumblr called ChiBird. It's already becoming one of my favorite spots on the web! All the comics are drawn by high school cutie, Jackie, and depict all the little adventures she has everyday. I'm sure everyone can relate to them in one way or another. Her site is super fun, so I encourage everyone to check out ChiBird on Tumblr and Facebook!

I Want Manga Plates

'manga plates' is the graduate project of mika tsutai studying at the kyoto institute of technology in japan.
each plate from the collection features various black and white drawings, which take on the personality
of a frame from a manga anime. when food is arranged in a certain way among the plates, an animated visual is created. By placing these dishes in a particular manner you can transform your dinner table into a story, just like that of a page from a japanese comic.
